First Order RC circuit

am trying to simulate afirst order RC circuit,I am supposed to show input voltage and voltage across the capacitor on the same graph. I have included the simulation diagrams in the word file attached. I had tough time understanding the t in the output voltage equation which is also mentioned in the attached word document. can anyone help me out with this.

This looks like a good homework question for a first semester circuits course!

"t" is for time, usually in seconds. But every time the input changes you would have a new "t = 0", with the initial conditions as computed where the previous calculation left off. It's not one equation with one "t", but rather a series of equations.
