Finding Parallel Port settings programmatically

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a co-worker that installed a PCI based parallel port and he was wondering if he could get the port address programmatically?

Windows randomly assigns 090_hex?

Smercurio_fc,

Actually it's devcon resources  =ports:

 C:\>devcon resources  =ports
ACPI\PNP0401\4&EDE93E0&0
    Name: ECP Printer Port (LPT1)
Device is currently using the following resources:
        IO  : 0378-037f
        IO  : 0778-077d
ACPI\PNP0501\1
    Name: Communications Port (COM1)
Device is currently using the following resources:
        IO  : 03f8-03ff
        IRQ : 4
2 matching device(s) found.
