File delete LLB

Solved!

I want to use LLB format, subsequently I'd like to use file delete,

If this function does work correctly in the LLB format would there be another method or function I can use and stay with the LLB format?

Hi LED,

The question is: WHY do you want to use the LLB file format???

LLBs were introduced when filenames were limited to 8.3 (8 chars name, 3 chars suffix) by the OS.

Since Win95 they aren't recommended anymore, so for about 30 years!

Common recommendation now: don't use LLBs anymore!

(Use projects and lvlibs instead.)

Btw: did you read the LabVIEW help for the FileDelete function? It is very clear about the behaviour within LLBs!

Best regards,
GerdW

Now that I think about it I we'll go to the project style..

I guess I just like to have it all in one file...

But yes your solution or recommendation is what I expected so thank you

Think about your preference, "all in one file". A sector that is part of that llb file goes bad, what happens? All the files in the llb go bye-bye.

It's kind of like in the days of DOS when you compressed your hard drive, it became one container file. One little problem with the container file and the entire contents of your hard drive is gone.

You can try this 25 year old advice, which is still valid.
