I have worked a bit with the FP-2000 and its a great tool, but it is
overkill for jobs that are suited to the ladder logic of PLCs. You can buy
PLCs starting at $99, FP is quite a bit more expensive. And there are lots
more PLC programmers available for hire than there are LabVIEW programmers,
something a customer would consider when putting together bid specs for a
job.
