F3 Patch Problem

Hello All,

I am using LabVIEW 9.0.1 and I am trying to install F3 patch but I am getting attached error when I try to install.

I do have LabVIEW 2009 on my system. But installer is asking me to install again.

Please let me know, what does it mean.

Hello LVTestek,

You said you are using LabVIEW 2009 SP1 (9.0.1) correct?  If so than you don't need to install the LabVIEW 2009 f3 patch.  All of the fixes in the f3 patch are included in LabVIEW 2009 SP1.

Thank you for your reply.

If both are same then why do they have different version number on LabVIEW start up window. My customer is confusing with both names and they are asking us, which one is the lastest.

LabVIEW with SP1 - Version 9.0.1 (32 Bit)

LabVIEW with F3 -  Version 9.0f3 (32 Bit)

They are not the same.

LabVIEW 9.0.1 or 2009 SP1 is the latest

LabVIEW 9.0f3 is 2009 without the service pack and represents the 3rd patch or "fix" of the original 2009 (9.0 or 9.0.0)
