Exporting DAQ data into a spreadsheet

I am trying to take acceleration time history data from a DAQ and put it into a spreadsheet using LabVIEW.  I know I can use the DAQ Assist to collect the data, and I can see it on a waveform chart, but how do I get the accelleration data into a column in Excel?  I know there is a Write to Spreadsheet.vi, but I have not had success using it yet.  Could somebody please attach a simple VI that would be able to do this:

*Collect DAQ data via DAQ Assist

*Display DAQ data in a waveform chart

*Save accelleration data in a column of a spreadsheet

Here is a VI that records data to one column of a spreadsheet file. Hopefully it will help get you started.
