Exeuting my labview project on two monitors

Solved!
Go to solution

Hey Guys,

I have the licence on my laptop but once i have the code finished i am looking to just execute the code on two monitors in the automated testine as opposed to putting the licence on these monitors. Is this possible and if so how can i achieve this? Thanks

Hi Damien,

Do you mean you would like to run the code on different machines than the development machine?

If you plan on developing an executable and deploying this on other machines, you should be fine with just a dev. license (However, certain toolkits require a deployment license such as sound and vibration toolkit). You can create executables and installers from within a LabVIEW project. All you need to run these on another machine is the relevant LabVIEW Run-Time Engine.

Does this answer your question?

Thanks,

What kind of machine is are you deploying on?  How do you plan to use your screen - is it duplicate or extended?  If it is a Windows computer, all you need is a dual monitor video card and change the settings to duplicate or extended.

Yes so all that will be required then is for the operator to run the code on these monitors. Yes that answers my question i have the development licence i will read into setting up this executable and installer from within a project. Thank you
