Executable errors with gibberish message

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm running LabVIEW 20.0.f1 (32 bit) professional under W10.  My installation seems to be ok.  However, when I create and then run an executable, I get a gibberish error message immediately.

As a test I created a very simple vi, attached.  My real  program pops exactly the same message, so it doesn't seem like this is a code problem, more likely an installation problem.

Any suggestions short of reinstalling LabVIEW?

Wow, it looks like something stepped on LabVIEW's brain and even overwrote the memory area where the error message was contained!  (And it could very well be LabVIEW stepping on itself due to some kind of corruption.)

Whew!  Thankfully you didn't have to reinstall LabVIEW.
