I have a cFP-180 front end that has been working through a wireless router to my network for over 2 years. I am tired of the momentary dropouts causing some zeros in my data, so I had a 60 foot Ethernet cable run from one of the remote server connections in my shop. I hooked a laptop into the sixty footer and I could see the network drive. Works! I plug it into the cFP-180 module, reset the IP address and reboot the cFP-180 rack and AutoMAX can't find it. I know the Ethernet output works, because that's what I used for the wireless. help.

Are you sure the IP address of the wireless router vs. your PC vs. the subnet the new wired connection is on are all on the same subnet?
I believe MAX only automatically detects reset devices if they are on the same subnet as the PC.

I have been told they are. I guess I will take a laptop out there on Monday and hook it up to the server hub to see if the configurations make sense.
