"Fatal Error!! Required NIPathsDir property MOZILLADIR is undefined. "

Any comments?

What were you installing?  If LabVIEW, what version?

This is an installer for a VI you created? Do you make any calls in the VI to files / programs / directories? The paths to any of these may differ on the other PC.

Any more specific information would be helpful.

Thanks Corys for indication! It is labview 8.5 and the error is due to the format of the directory.

It's working now.

Thanks,

Opt_Ottawa -

Hi. I don't know if you're still around, but now its 2022, 14 years later, and one of our customers has just reported this error upon running our installer. We have hundreds of successful installations of our LabVIEW 8.5 software on Windows XP through Windows 11.

What do you mean by, "the error is due to the format of the directory"? Please be as specific as you can.

Thank you very much,

Ed S

Hello Edjsch,

Did you get any resolution to this issue? I am having a similar problem currently trying to install Labview 2010 on a computer running windows XP. I have tried rerouting to the correct My Documents folder in a few different ways, as well as making a completely new user account with administrative privileges and trying to install into those directories. Each time I get "Fatal Error !! Required NIPathsDir property CVIDIR is undefined."

mho1 - No I have not. I'm waiting for feedback from a customer who reported this rare (actually unique) occurrence. I'll post if / when I get any feedback.
