Error Code -50101

Hi to aeveryone. Using C-RIO, while trrying to communicate beetween host VI and FPGA VI to excanghe simple data, the execution stop and appear this message:

 Error -50101 occurred at _nirio_device_getDeviceHandle.vi:2

Possible reason(s):

The requested resource does not exist or exists but is in a state which prevents its reservation. The operation could not be completed as specified.

I open the refer to FPGA with "Oen FPGA VI Reference" block, then I use a simple "Read/Write Control" to exchange data then I close the FPGA reference...It's a simple VI only to test the hardware setup (i'm a newbye...)...and it' doesn't work...any suggestion?

Hi Ste,

usually the error you are getting stems from a software version mismatch between the Host and the cRIO. As suggested in the following 2 KBs, you should check that ni-rio versions on Host and target are the same and eventually upgrade the version that fell behind.
