Error 200561 - Daq Assistant Error

Hi,

I am receiving an error when I try to test my simulated Daq card. I have a simulated NI 9265 card for AO channels. I set the limits to be 0-20 milli amps for each channel. When I try to test it, I get an error saying that it tried writing data that was to large or small for the range I selected. It suggest to adjust the max and min to the range of the channel. The card is specified as a 0-20 mA card so wouldn't that be the correct limits? How can I fix this error? I don't want to set the range that the equipment on the other end can't accept so I'm unsure what the correct limits should be. Thanks for the help!

Assuming you are defining a virtual channel, how would you define, for example, a 10mA output? As "10" or "10m"

I defined it as .01 amps so it converted it to 10m.

Well, it works fine on my system (LV2012). Just to verify, you did define the output as a current output and the output signal range is set to 20m to 0 Amps. Yes?

When you make the channel and put in 0-20m in the max min boxes then hit run, you get no error? Any idea why mine might be different? I made a task with other AO channels (all the same ranges) which is used in my VI to define the channels that data is written to. When I run my VI I get the same error on the AO task. Do you think it has anything to do with that?

To answer your questions in order: yes, no and very likely.

It sounds like there may be something messed up with the simulated device on your system. Is there another computer around that you could  try? Other than that, it sounds to me like its time to call NI.
