Hello,
How did you changed names of Ports from COM1 to ASTLR.?
Thanks

I corrected the error by using the lower level names for the COM ports. For instance COM2 became "ASRL2::INSTR" This managed to solve my problems. As for why that one PC worked with 8.2 and failed with LV 8.5 is beyond me but in the meantime that is a functional workaround and works on all the PCs involved.

Hello Mohit1991,
That post was from years ago so I doubt the original poster is going to get back to you. However, from his post it looks like he's using the VISA address of the COM port. If you open up NI Measurement Explorer (MAX) and drop down the Devices and Interfaces menu you should see your COM ports listed. In quotes it will say something like "COM1" but before that is the VISA address.

Hello Jonathan,
Can you help me in my one other doubt? I am using one Power Supply Unit as pulse generator which is connected to PCI 6232 and I I am controlling one linear stage with it. I want to combine both of these to sense the signal from power supply and feed that to Linear stage. What function do you think should I use? I am using DAQ Assistant but it is saying it can be used only once , I mean either for generating waves or providing feedback. Is there a way to give output from DAQ assistant to two things at a time? If I use two different DAQ assistants for same generator ( one for graph and one for feedback) It gives me error that the previous one is reserved. I guess I have to use loops but I am not sure about that. Can you clarify my doubts?
Thank you.
