Encoder Position VI

I just wanted to ask if there is a pre-built VI that measures the position using counters that looks something similar like this.

I'm not sure what devices you are using to measure the angular encoder, but if you're using DAQ devices then you might try this VI:

Open the example finder (Help --> Find Examples). Then navigate to:

Hardware Input and Output --> DAQmx --> Counter Measurements --> Position --> Measure Angular Position.vi

It's not a link that's hosted on the web, it comes with a LabVIEW install. Open up LabVIEW and go to Help --> Find Examples, and follow the steps from there.

If you don't have NI-DAQmx installed, then you won't be able to find it in the example finder. Go to ni.com/support --> NI-DAQmx to get DAQmx.
