Am I only one who can't change default shortcut for Enable/Disable Grid Alignment Shortcut (LV 2013)? Default is Shift+Ctrl+# and I'm trying to change it for eg F5 (I have my alignment and distribution under F's - old habits from Diablo for quick actions ) but after pressing "set" and OK it changes back to default.
It is possible to assign shortcuts for specific type of alignment/distribution (presently it is shortcut for last used type, from what I noticed)? I'm not talking about quickdrops.

To tell the truth, I've never tried that. But can you not reassign the shortcut at all, or just not to F5? I have run into issues before with other programs (like MS Word) that you couldn't assign a shortcut that didn't use a modifier.
For example, I couldn't assign a shortcut to F2 but I could to shift-F2.

I don't want to use modifiers because I think it is inconvenient.
There is no problem with assigning F buttons for shortcuts. F5 works for eg broken wires cleanup. The problem is with Grid Alignment Shortcut.

Hi,
Indeed it seems that you can not give a new shortcut to the Enable/Disable Grid Alighment.
Since this is more like a feature that will help you program faster and improve the usability of LabVIEW, I suggest you to post it on ni.com/ideas and LV programmers will vote it.
The ideas that will have the most votes will be implemented in the future versions of LabVIEW.
Best regards,
IR.

Don't You think that reporting Corrective Action Request will be better? After all, option for changing Enable/Disable Grid Alignment Shortcut is already in LabVIEW but does not work

Hi Bienieck,
You are right, I am sorry for that.
I have filed the CAR for that.
Best regards,

Thanks IonR, by the way, how to report CAR?

Hi,
Basically it can be done only by National Instruments engineers.
The issue has to be reproduced on multiple computers and in the latest version of the software.
In case you find other unexpected behaviors please contact National Instruments technical support and report that. Basically, if it is a showstopper, you can also work with the applications engineers to receive a work around for the issue.
Let me know if you need more information about that.
Best regards,
IR
