I a have an old version of Electronics Workbench V4.1 which I am trying to install on win2000. It was simple enough to use for teaching my son electronics.

I have 3 differnt versions.

None will install. I get error "can not write serial number to disk". This was for win95 and NT originally. I expected Win 2000 would work. Is this the problem? I can not believe 3 sets of firmware are all corrupt the same way. I tested floppy drive. It will write file and read it back.

Electronics Workbench version 4.1 is very old, no longer supported and not compatible with Win 2000. The latest version is 11.0.1 and there is a Student Edition that students can purchase for ~40 dollars.
