Hi Kevin,
the only information I found about HP4141B was, that
this is a kind of Parameteranalyser from HP. Typically
you don't find a lot if the instrument is very old or
totally new. If my first impressions should be correct - I have made programs for HP4155A/B-Parameteranalyser using LabVIEW. We should compare the SCPI-command-set. If they are not far away from each other-you should
"mis-use" the driver from HP4155(6)A/B. If you need
support - write to: werner.hasche@web.de

I actually typed the instrument name incorrectly. It should have been
HP4142B. Yes, this a parameter analyzer and is very similar to the HP4155(6)
A/B, but somewhat older and more modular with more SMU's. Thanks for your
reply and I would be interested in seeing the stuff you have for the 4156 if
your willing to share. I have an option of using a 4156 instead of the 4142.
The only drivers I could find for the 4156 were labwindows/CVI and I don't
know how to convert to labview format.

thanks again.

Hi Kevin,
this sounds much better now..... Find on driver-CD shipped with LabVIEW in folder GPIB\hp415xa the needed .llb with drivers. If I remember right-I have adapted these drivers marginal to HP4155B. I made some programs for DC and Dynamic Stress of Transistors (in case of dynamic using the HP41501A - PulseGeneratorUnit). After each stress period some measurents were done - like test of Threshold,RDSon e.t.c - degradation of Tansistors was observed in order to estimate life-time.
If this is your target - you can have these programs and then change these samples for your needs. But then
please write to: werner.hasche@web.de

Kevin,

Unfortunately there is no instrument driver already made for your device. The suggestion from the previous person is very good. I may want to add also another suggestion, browse through the Instrument Driver Network and there is a link named "Other Driver Resources", click it and the new page will have some options very helpful, you can search from 3rd party companies, alliance members, and even you can submit your request to National Instruments in order to develop one for your device, although you may know that this kind of submission is made in a popular request basis, that is, if quite a number of people wants the same driver then it will be developed. Also in this page you have a link for developing your own instru
ment driver if you choose to do so.

Hope this may be of help, good luck!
