Distributed System Manager does not display enums

I believe the DSM has this capability but I have tried everything I can think of using NSV's that use custom control data types of type enum, ring constants etc

but the display always reverts to simple integers.  Anybody know the trick?

This is actually the expected behavior of the DSM.  An Enum is simply an int data type with a list of string lables that correspond to the number.  Unfortunately the DSM (or possibly the shared variable engine) strips the labels and only uses the numeric type.  However this is definitely worth submitting a product suggestion for.
