DigitalMultiMeter at serial port

Hi all,

i´m searching a solution to read out some data from a DigitalMultiMeter
"Voltcraft M-3850D" at the serialport (1200bit/s,N,7,2). I have tried it
with the standart serial vi´s, but without success. The DMM waits for a "D"
command and answers with a series of 14bytes. I also have tried it with the
IN & OUTport vi´s, only with a little success, because there ist no
syncronisation between pc and DMM.

Has perhaps somebody one solution for me?
Perhaps has someone this DMM with LV on active service.

There was a similar question yesterday. I would also add that you should always configure the serial port inside of the VI before doing a read or write.

Again hello...

we have found the problem. It is necessary to set the handshake. In our case
we write a "9" to the base address 3F8 +4.
If anyone want the vi, send me a e-mail.
