Difference in string indicator...

I saw a string indicator in a vi(I found it in examples directory..)which is unvisible in normal mode but when the vi run it becomes visible..I tried to put a same but it did not work..How can i do this...

Just make the color "Transparent" with the "Set color tool". You have to modify both the background and the foreground of the indicator.
This can also be done dynamically using an attribute node. Later ?

It's not that the indicator is not visible. The only things that you need to modify are the colors of the indicator.

Use the tools palette and select Transparent for the foreground and background colors (letter T in the color palette). Paint your indicator with those colors and that's it.
