Difference between visual studio form creation, modification

I have a lot of experience with visual studio windows and web form projects, c#.  I am trying to modify an existing matlab program that contains forms with callback events.  Do you add controls to the form in the same manner as in visual studio (just place a control on the form from a menu)?  Can you just double click on the control to get to the call back or event code?  Thanks Paul.

This board is for LabVIEW. Matlab is not an NI product and you should post questions about it to MathWorks.
