Deploying RT Application

I wish to deploy a (functional) RT application on a cRIO platform.

 

However, in following the instructions on the following page, "Tools » Build Application or Shared Library (DLL" is greyed-out/disabled. If I open a fresh VI the button is enabled, but it is disabled on any of the existing VIs. The VI has been saved prior to trying to access this button.

Here is a screenshot of the menu option that is disabled. Why is this?

Problem is solved. Right clicking on "Build Specifications" within the RT tree works fine.
