Decimal Points when outputting to a CSV

Hi there.

I've constructed a VI that records data and builds it into an array for
outputting as a CSV file. The instrument (Standford Research SR-830 lock-in
amp.) gives the voltage to about 6 or 7 decimal points but upon writing the
array to a file, it only records the voltage to 3 d.p.

How can I increase this?

Hi Beavis,

I'm assuming that you're using "Write To Spreadsheet File" to write your data. This vi has an input called "format (%.3f)" This sets the how your numbers are converted to strings. The default is %.3f which sets it to a floating point number with 3 decimal places. To change it wire a string that contains %.xf where x is the number of decimal places you want (%.7f for example).
