I get the following error:

"Error -2147467263 occurred at Nicht implementiert
 in DataSocket Select URL.vi->Browse To OPC Item.vi"

when using the shipped example "Browse To OPC Item.vi"

in LabView 2012 SP1 (64 bit)  (12.0.1f2).

Something missing ?

Hi,

make sure that LabVIEW will not be blocked by the firewall. try to modify the following settings:

Configuring LabVIEW, LabVIEW DSC and Lookout to Work With the Windows Firewall

I can't find the example which you are using. It would be helpful for everybody, if you attach your code to this thread with a screenshot of the error message which you receive.

If you need the port and the protocol for the DataSocket, take a look in this document:

the firewall has been switched off completely.

The problem appears only under LV 2012 64-bit with all OPC examples.

On the other hand everything is working fine under LV 2012 32-bit.

I guess, I need (or better LabView needs) a 64 bit version of the

underlying datasocket libraries ... (?)

Hi Stephan,

the example is located under

NI Example Finder   =>  Communicating with external applications  =>   OLE for Process Control  =>   Browse to OPC item.vi.
