Data Acquiring from Mutiple Signal Channels

Hello NI fellas,

I create a DAQ task sequence using virtual channels and wiring them in series.

My final purpose is to obtain 35 thermocouple signals and 4 current-type signals from the NI DAQ system.

my problem is like this,

when I wire 20 thermocouples and 4 current-type signals in series, I can obtain the data and write them in files.

However, When I append 15 more thermocuples right before the 20 thermcouples, there is no data sampling from DAQ.

When I only test 15 thermocouples, I can obtain the data from all of 15 channels.

I am wondering if there is an upper limit of virtual channel numbers wiring in series.

Best,

Ming

As far as I understand there shouldn't be an upper limit, there are numerous DAQ applications running with hundreds of sensor data acquisitions.

Please provide more details

  • What DAQs are you using?
  • Please attach the code you're using (if LabVIEW, share in LV2016)
  • What error do you get?

Hello Santhosh,

I am using the NI-cDAQ-9174 with four slots of NI-sub modules.

There is no error reflected when I run the code.

I attach my labview design file for your review. The version I use is the Labview 2019 (19.0.1 32-bit).

Best,

Ming
