Did you mean:

Cut a VI, pasted to a TAB, but the block diagram is ruined.

I have an existing VI that I am editing. I want to place that entire front panel, and all of the existing block diagram, onto one page of a TAB object.
This is how I tried:
1. selected everything on the front panel
2. cut
3. add a new TAB object
4. selected the first page of the TAB object
5 Paste

The front panel looked fine. But when I looked at the block diagram, there were several controls that were disconnected, and bunched on the left side.

Can someone help with the correct way to do this? Or tell me what I did wrong?

Thanks!

If you cut from the front panel, you only get the controls and indicators, and not any of the operations in the diagram. And if you then paste them, they will not magically reconnect to your existing code fragments.

SImply selet all your FP objects, then drag them onto the tab control. This will leave the diagram connections in place.
