Custom triggering application with the LabVIEW FPGA Module.

I want to design a custom triggering application with the LabVIEW FPGA Module.

I have my tasks laid out using the below documentation ( in the below link) for guidance.

1. Create an FPGA VI to create a trigger(single pulse) when a threshold condition is satisfied when monitoring an analog voltage signal.
2. Create VI on the host computer to acquire and save images
3. Using a Host VI to Communicate with the FPGA Target 

It would be very helpful if I could get some help/relevant documentation for the following specific tasks:

• How do I interface the FPGA trigger VI with the host VI? How to open the reference for trigger pulse signal in host VI?
• In my host VI, how do I set up the camera property nodes to receive the trigger from FPGA?

I am still working on developing the FPGA code to monitor the analog voltage(Step 1). So, I don’t really have any code to share at this point; sorry about it. I would really appreciate any helpful suggestions and references because the NI documentation is overwhelming and taking me everywhere.
