Creating Installer and DAQ-MX: Error Code

Solved!
Go to solution

How do I screen shot the installer I am including? Is this just the additional installers page?

Thanks

Yeah just a screenshot of the additional installers page. Did you try it after the reinstall? are you still seeing the same error?

Tried the reinstall, no luck....

Now I am installing the DAQmx drivers that were posted somewhere on this thread.

I'm going to exhaust all the possibilities...

I'll get you the screenshot right after these drivers finish installing.

Horray for losing 6 hours of work installing software + half of last friday on this...

Thanks

Ok...

so I reinstalled, did the update step mentionned by someone else.

Then I also installed the latest version of DAQmx.

Still no luck!

Any more ideas?

I did find these two KBs that might help regarding error 30.

This one regarding CVI, but might be useful if you have any .NET calls in your application.

My other suggestion would be to try and build the installer without actually including any additional installers and see if you get the same error. If it builds successfully then you can slowly add additional installers and find out what installer is giving the error.

Did that already

It is the DAQmx one that is causing the error.

Cut me some slack...I know the basics of trouble shooting lol...

I just realized I never ran the right Update installer so I will do that now. Hopefully that ones does the trick.

Also thanks for the KBs I'll try both of them.

Also, my master application will have RS 232 * 2 + .net + a DAQmx Ni Card so I'll be needing to get .net working soon enough.

Ok I can't even see the log in the _edit.log file (I've found _edit.log) but I see no such Error code -30 in there...

...

...

Can someone from NI help me or do I need to pay for that service?

What DAQmx Driver do you have? The newest one should be 9.5.5
