Counting Edges

Hi,

I am trying to read the rising edges from my encoder.

It doesnt work and I would like to know if my VI program is supposed to work. (attachments)

Hi Jack,

LabVIEW ships with some great DAQmx examples.  I would recommend checking out the counter examples.  In LabVIEW, select Help >> Find Examples.  Once the NI Example Finder has launched, navigate to Hardware Input and Output >> DAQmx >> Counter Measurements.

Hopefully this gets you on the right track!

I just found my problem. The program was good but there was a false contact. When I was putting my Voltmeter on the screw, the contact was good and I was seeing 5V. But when I was getting it out, it was going to 0V !
