Correct download for DAQmx Base (for MacOS)

There are many references to DAQmx Base, but all seem to take me to this link for a WINDOWS download:

http://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/drivers/download.ni-daqmx.html#311818

Even these instructions for MacOS lead to a WINDOWS download link:

https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z0000019RwOSAU&l=en-US

I also found this, but it takes me to a dead end:

http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371729e.pdf

Where is the dang download link for MacOS?

I also couldn't find any links to the DAQmx Base.

It looks like perhaps support has been dropped?

You might have some luck searching the FTP site, ftp://ftp.ni.com, in particular, ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/daq/mac/

According to the root level README.txt, the support directory contains drivers. support/daq/mac lists a version of daqmx-base, but it looks pretty old. YMMV.

Beyond that, you might have some luck posting here: https://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-DAQmx-Base-Developers/gp-p/grp-1235

But, if it's been dropped, I'm not sure how much...

It does list instructions for taking the 2015 version and compiling into a newer LabVIEW version, but it assumes you're able to get a 2015 version, and the links there all redirect to the Windows links that you've already found.

I do find ni-daqmxbase in the /mac directory on FTP. I tried the most recent version, v2.0 from 2009. The dmg launches fine, but the installation fails almost immediately. See attached image.

For a bit more context, I even found a very recent (March 2018) help page from NI explaining how to install DAQmx Base for MacOS. However, this page also links the windows version of DAQmx Base:

https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z0000019RwOSAU&l=en-US

There are other references to the illusory DAQmx Base for OSx elsewhere, but they all seem to link back to the windows installer.

In case this is relevant, I'm trying to use the NI-USB-6008 with LabView2017 for MacOS.

Any feedback is appreciated.
