Hi,
I recently received a VI from the folks at Kent Scientific regarding their GenieTouch Syringe Pump. The problem is that the VI they sent me was done in the '12 version, and I only have access to '09, so I can't even open it. I've attached the VI and if someone could convert it to '09 I would REALLY appreciate it! There are a few notes about the VI that I've copy and pasted:
-Make sure that you have the FTDI driver installed for the Serial-USB chip in the computer this can be downloaded atwww.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM20814_Setup.exe
-You can test this by using the ascii commands that Dave sent you using a free serial terminal emulator a good free emulator is available at http://www.joku.lt/projects/fspt.
-I suggest trying the beep ASCII commands. If your genie touch beeps that means you are putting the commands in correctly.
-These ASCII commands are used by any program that wants to communicate with the pump including labview.
-A Researcher provided us with a VI that I have included with this email that he used to interface with the GenieTouch in LabView.
-The Researcher that provided the VI to us had the following comments about it.
“The VI will still require the drivers for the FTDI chip to be installed on the machine. …
The VI is simple but complete enough where future users could tailor it and modify it to suit their needs. It was written in LV 2012 and does not use too many complicated functions so compatibility shouldnt be an issue. “

You should post it in the version conversion section http://forums.ni.com/t5/Version-Conversion/bd-p/VersionConversion
