Convert VI to Executable

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm having issues converting my VI into executable project, I looked into the build specification source distribution properties. Please advise at your earliest convenience.

Without seeing your VI and the error messages all we can say is you are doing it wrong.

That is to say we need more information than "I'm having issues".

What's the error you get when you try to build the executable?

No error, I was unable to locate application (Exe) from build specifications. Do I have to find the installer unable to locate.

  • A project is not "executable"
  • A "source distribution" is not an executable.
  • Within your project, you need to build an "Application (exe)", which is a different build specification.

(And no, attaching a VI does not help us here.)

That's the issue, only thing that shows for the drop down is source distribution I don't get to chose application (exe).

You must not have LabVIEW professional (or LabVIEW full + application builder toolkit).

LabVIEW full and LabVIEW base don't have that functionality.
