Contract Work in LabVIEW

I am a professional Test Engineer with MSEE and more than 5 years of
dedicated LabVIEW experience. I am looking for contract work in LabVIEW.
Is there a site which posts such work or what is the best way to look
around. I could work on a 1099 or W2 or whatever. I can be emailed
directly at akizil@hotmail.com.

If you want to do full time consulting then the first thing you should do
is become an Alliance member. Details on joining can be found at NI's site.
Once a member, your name/company is listed on NI's site. Also, make it a
point to attend all of the local user group meetings and seminars and bring
a stack of business cards and brochures. Ask your local sales engineer for
referals. If he or she is not familiar with your work, arrange for a demonstration.
You might also want to check and see how much competition there is in your
area and what are the typical rates for contract work.

Good Luck

There are two good ways to get contract work for programming with LabVIEW:

1.  Get certified as a LabVIEW Developer (CLD).  This will get your name on our website for customers to browse when looking for LabVIEW programmers.  This will also give you exposure to NI reps to they can be aware you're working and certified, even if they're not your rep, they could still recommend you to a customer in need.

2.  Become a Certified Professional Instructor.  You'll receive teaching contracts from NI that could last as little as 3 days, or as much as a month at a time based on your location and willingness to travel.

View details at www.ni.com/training  >> Certification Overview
