Contest: Are YOU the Ultimate LabVIEW G-eek 2006?

Ben,

I tried that but could not get LV3 to run under Classic. All the others were fine.

Well done guys!!

But that is not what i intended to do...
I thought the answer were given before reading the question but concerning the Ultimate LABVIEW challenge!!!! 😛 But how do we do if we don't know the question before???
Anyway i didn't succeded in my program. I'm trying to make one with key words. With every key word and sum of key words in the question, the most adequate answer is offered. But i need all the information before about Labview's History, all the hardwares and softwares and  whatever... and the size of the program must be at least 1Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thus to be such a good programmer, I must be before an Ultimate LabVIEW G-eek   guys!! 😉 and i'm far from that... 🙂
Is my challenge utopic?
Let's keep in touch

Philip, will the answers be published once the deadline for each set passes?

Personally, I think it would also be nice if we would get a confirmation email telling us that our submission was accepted and also logging the answers we gave so that we're able to grade ourselves once the answers are published.

This week's batch was more interesting (with a nice trick question - I liked the January 0 option Smiley Surprised ), although I still think that language related questions might be a bit too specialized.

Is it just me, or does the LabVIEW documentation need updating?  The quiz asks a question on when the change to Booleans went to a single bit in memory, where as several parts of the documentation say that Booleans are still stored as 8-bit numbers: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361A-01/lvconcepts/how_labview_stores_data_in_memory/

Its just you!

The question reads

"In what version of LabVIEW did the internal storage of Booleans change to its current format, in which each Boolean occupies a single byte of memory?"

Then maybe it's my fussy English-English upbringing as opposed to some funky America-English quirk - that sentance say to me that the new version uses one bit per Boolean whereas the documentation says that it uses 8bits per Booleam.  Can someone with an American-English dictionary enlighten me?  🙂

No, the new version uses one byte per boolean, which is the same as 8 bits. 😄 Read the question again, it says "single byte".
