Connection between plcsim and labview

Hello everybody,

I tried to repeat the same work as described on this tuto:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbOmYjRHSns

But it's not working for me. in fact,

- the quality of PLC's tag is bad and their values are unknown in quick opc client.

- in the NI OPC server: the IP adress is not responding

Please find attached screenshots to have more informations.

Thank you.

I'm not familiar with this particular setup, but have you checked your firewall settings?  Perhaps there is some port that is being blocked, which is causing the communication to break down.

For future ref, I recommend trying the inbuilt ActiveX support (S7PROSIM) for communication with the S7PLCSIM.

See and download an example of writing real's here: Re: Problem using PLCSim ActiveX Control in LabVIEW - Page 2 - NI Community
