Is it possible to connect a cDAQ Ethernet chassis (e.g., cDAQ 9185) to a router via wire, and communicate wirelessly with a laptop computer? Thanks.

Yes It is easiest if all the devices are on the same sub-net, but that is not an absolute requirement. Wired or wireless, the TCP/IP communication all looks the same to the devices and software.
