Confusion on Agilent and HP

Solved!
Go to solution

So I'm trying to construct a program that works with HP 4155B Semiconductor Analyzer but the driver I found for the instrument is Agilent 415X and nothing else. Is this okay to use (cause I wont be able to test for some time), is HP now a part of Agilent??

Agilent is a spinoff of HP, specializing in instruments and such, so yes, they are the same.

And Keysight is a spinoff of Agilent.  So we can all be thoroughly confused now.Smiley Very Happy

Maybe they should be giving out sticker sheets so you can add new logos to the instruments every couple of years 😄

Funny you should say that...they do!

I sent an instrument out for calibration and it came back with a new look.
