Complex Animations

Hi,
Im looking at wanting to make a simple program that allows me to simulate a crossrads and a pedestrian crossing to use as an example of a state machine.
I wonder if there are any good tutorials or methods of getting animations to show cars travelling up and down the road?

I understand that i can do this sort of animation with a number of .gif files but is there a more elegant way of doing this?

Cheers

For getting animations to show cars travelling up and down the road, that you can customize "Slide" control, the scale trave is the load, and the block is the car, the car can be a GIF image, its wheels are moving. then you would get the car up and down goal.

The only tool available for real animation is the picture control. Some example can be found here.

Other than that you can do trick animations like the mentioned changing value of a slide, using a picture ring or moving a control around using its properties.
