Communication for Counter

Hi,

I need to write a program that reads an Omega Counter DPF940120. I want to read/commuincate using a serial connection RS485.I am not quite sure if I should use Modbus for this.Can anyone help me?

I can write and read using Measurement and automation; but am having hard time of where to start. If I only need read/write VISA, GPIB or Modbus. Any idea?

Hey gltfrs,

It depends on your device. I am not familiar with the Omega Counter DPF940120 but there should be some documentation that would say how the device communicates. If it communicates via Modbus there a couple ways to do so in LabVIEW.

What version of LabVIEW are you using and what toolkits and modules you have for it?
