Cluster Question

Attached please see a part of an example in my LV 7.0.

I do understand the boolean cluster control ( View )as wel as the unbundling before attaching to the dB and Phase vi's.

However, what is the sense of clustering the three bool control switches into the View Cluster control ?
Right after clustering the cluster is unbundled into three separate wires.
Why should I cluster while I can also use three separate bool control switches without clustering and unbundling ?

This may be very basic but I am a beginner and I could not resolve this myself.

Thanks for any explanation.

From the image you supplied, it looks only to be cosmetic. There would be no difference had you made the same vi with 3 separate boolean controls; However, if this vi is more complicated that what we see. It would be better to utilizie boolean clusters or control clusters for better organization.

I agree.

This may have been done becuase they wanted the appearance on ht front panel to look like a cluster.

Or they wanted show and hide all of the controls at once using a single proprty node.

Another reason could have been documentation. The un-bundle by name gives you a lable right on the diagram explaining what the value is.

If this group of controls is used by a sub-VI, it can be passed as a single terminal.
