Clearing a string

In LabVIEW, I want to input a bar code into a field, record the data and then clear it after one iteration. I would also like to make that field the key focus and ready for the next UUT.

After recording it, wire an empty string constant (on the string palette) to a property node of the control (value property) or to a local variable. Key focus is also a property node or attribute node in LabVIEW 5.
