Can you run Win 98 defrag while running an LV app?

Hi everyone,

Our systems run for a long time (we hope years!) and I'm worried that with
all the disk R/W activity, the hard drive is getting fragmented. So, I was
thinking of using the Windows 98 Task Scheduler to schedule some periodic
maintenance routines. I'd also like to leave our LV Application running.
The one test I did, seemed to crash my computer. Has anyone done this
before?

Thanks,
Bill

The problem with Win98 defrag is that if anything changes on the disk (you write to a file or whatever) thne the defrag will re-start and you basically get nowhere. This even happens if you have the screen saver active. If your application does not save on disk, then it just might be possible.
