Can't find merge dialog in Labview 8.5

I just installed Laview 8.5. I want to use the merge tool but can't find it anywhere. Everywhere it says it is under Tools Menu but I can't see it. Can anybody help me with that? I can find the LVMerge.exe for use with SCCS.

thanks

It is under the Tools menu as shown in the attached image.

Which type of package do you have?  Base, Full, Professional, Developer Suite?  I'll check if it's with all versions...

I looked around to see which package supports the feature...  There was no mention about package specific that I could find.. I'll continue looking.

hey,
Thanks for looking around. I have installed Labview from the Full Development Suite but not sure whether that really matters. I have attached a screen shot of tools here. It is different than yours.

Thanks

Here's my Tools menu which is a liitle different than Joe's but the Merge VIs is there. I notice that you also don't have the Compare option. I know that this is only available with the pro version of LabVIEW so maybe the Merge is only part of that package as well.

Hi,

Can somebody tell if "Merge VIs" is only available in the Pro version?

I have installed Labview 8.5 Full version and I also don't have the merge option in the tools menu. NI does not mention on the website and manuals that you need a specific version.

I have found LVmerge.exe on my computer ("D:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Merge\LVmerge.exe") but it is not possible to run it because you will get an error (= code 1: Invalid arguments passed to application.).

Thanks in advance,

BJK

If you go here and click on the 'software Engineering Tools" that is listed as being available only for the pro version, you get what is show below.
