Calling a C-built DLL in LabVIEW

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi!

I'm trying to get some knowledge about how to call DLLs from Labview.

I have found a very nice example on this site:

http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/1513

I have downloaded and extracted the file call_c_dll_in_lvnew.zip.

When trying to open the example file GenSortRandC.vi in the folder LabVIEW_code_and_DLL

I get the following error message.

"The procedure entry point RebootRTSystem could not be located in the dynamic library cvirte.dll"

I have searched the Internet and some forums but with no success so far.

Could you please let me know if you have the same problem whith the example?

I have the following setup:

- Labview 8.5.1 FDS (default installtion)

- Windows XP sp3

Best regards,

Mattias

Hi Mattias,

i have no problem with this example. I can run it without an error.

Maybe it's because i have installed the CVI Run Time engine.

Thanks Mike!

I downloaded the CVI RunTime Engine and now everything works great.

Thank you for your time.
