In order to latch the present value until next value is calculated I should use a shift register right. I am not sure how I can use "result valid" boolean. Thanks.

Yes, feedback node or shift register.  you could also use conditional structure and global or indicator. Kind of hard to recommend without knowing more about what you are doing.

yes, you could use a case structure to hold on to the value if it's valid, or to ignore it otherwise
