CVS + LabVIEW

Hi,

It seems that the LabVIEW builtin SCC system does only work with locally
mounted drives. I therefore wanted to know, if somebody has experience
with using (Win)CVS or some other SCC system which is free of charge??

Thanks for help

I'm not an expert on the SCC tool, but I do believe that it will work on
mounted volumes, and it can be used in conjunction with a couple
different commercial SCC tools through their plug-in mechanisms. It is
also possible to use these tools without
the toolkit, but they will be less integrated unless you create some
utility VIs
built around their functions. The most important thing to keep in mind
when considering an SCC tool with LV is that the source is binary. A
tool that only work on text files will not work with LV files.

I use SCC on UNIX and have the files stored on a remote machine.
I have never had a problem (except when the remote machine was turned off
!!!)

I can not say for WinNT, but then again since I got to UNIX I try to stay off

those toys.

It looks like this Jalindi Igloo (http://www.jalindi.com/igloo/) would provide a Microsoft SCC API for CVS that would work with the NI tools. Anyone have success with this product other software that provides an SCC API to CVS?
