How would one go about compiling a subpanel vi that uses other vi's?

Try looking under the examples that ship with LV.  This is under the help menu item in LV.  You can type in subpanel and find examples that might help you.  If you still have questions we can make and example for you.  Hope this helps.

Thank you, but yes I know how to use them. What I am asking is once written, is it possible to comile the vi? I've tried

including the support files in the build script and it comiles fine but, the executable does not bring up the called vi's.

Can you post your code?  it could be a path issue when building an exe.

The problem is probably the path to the VI, like BJD said.

When you build a VI into an exe, the exe serves as a directory. This means if you want to get the directory for the EXE you need to do another strip. You can find out if you're in an EXE by using the Application>>Kind property.

Actually, I meant that literally (unfortunately).
