CMU200 AMPS example - missing AMPS vi files

I have the basic RSCMU200 file downloaded and I've followed the instructions in the help listing that read as follows: 'If you want to use this driver as a standard LabVIEW driver, please copy manually the content of ~VXIpnp\GWinNt\rscmu200 directory into your LabVIEW directory (~LabVIEW\instr.lib\rscmu200\). The driver will then be directly accessible from the LabVIEW Instrument Driver function pallete menu.'   But when I open the LV 6 exaple tha I downloaded from the RS website, I'm stuck tryingto find the AMPS vi files that are missing in the example vi.  Where can I find the missing files?  I really need a functional example that I can use to monitor the RS CMU200 because without it I have no clue where I should start building one from scratch. Smiley Surprised  Using NI Developer Suite 2006:V8.2.

BTW - I did read the messages that are posted on this website that relate to the CMU200 and they didn't help me with this particular problem.

I downloaded the CMU200 driver the other day. But I downloaded them from the RS website instead of from NI website. I downloaded the following two files:

rscmu200_lv7_4_20_0.exe
rscmuk2g_lv7_4_20_2.exe

The latter one is for the GSM option. Once you install them, the files are placed under "C:\vxipnp\GWinNT". The LabVIEW files installed in that directory seemed to be working although I have not done any work with them yet.

Jae Ho Jeon,

The Rhode and Schwartz customer support representative that I emailed earlier today sent back the following reply that basically confirms that the trouble that I'm experiencing has been duplicated at their end of the message.  They wrote:

Thank you for contacting Rhode&Schwarz Technical Support.

I apologize for the inconvinience the driver installation is causing you. I also tried installing the Labview base driver and then AMPS driver and I am also getting the same error. I have sent the request to our development in Munich, Germany. They will be working on fixing these drivers.  As soon as I receive an answer from them or get new driver, I will inform you.  Again I am very sorry for the inconvinience and thank you for letting us know this.

Thank you,

Should you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact me.

Oh I see. I haven't worked with AMPS before. I'm only just beginning to connect to the instrument and test out some of the VIs in the driver. Thanks for letting me know about the above info.

BCU,
You need to find Jed H. at your company, he has resources he knows who have experience programming this instrument using LabVIEW.
Good Luck,
Paul

Paul,

I spoke with Jed, he's just four desks away from where I'm at, and he's agreed to assist me with the setup.  Thanks for the recommendation!

By the way, Rhode and Schwartz has a solution that involves a registry file and they've confirmed that it works for them and I'm going to test it out myself this morning.  See the attached 'cmu200wa.zip' file for details.

I fixed the problem on Friday, please contact R&S support for
workaround. During next week we'll make new installers for AMPS
(besides the other drivers) fixing this issue. I apologize for
inconvenience.
