I have scheduled for a CLAD exam. I have been reading many questions posted on LAVA and NI forum, working on example exams but still not very confident. Especially, after seeing people saying the actual exam was much harder than the two sample exams on NI. I wonder if it is true for recent exam (Summer, Fall 2011)? If anyone who just took the test, please verify this information

I took the exam at NI Week and passed. If you do well on the practice exams, you should be OK. If you are having trouble with the practice exams, you should look carefully at the questions which are causing you trouble to see if you need more work in a specific area. It is reasonable to expect that one or two questions might be about things with which you are unfamiliar, but if you are seeing many more than that, you probably need more training or experience.

Thank you very much. As long as the materials are similar like the example exams, I think I will be fine (might miss a few questions but enough to pass ).

I'm taking mine this thursday and I'm quite excited. I got around 90% on the example exams, but I'm still worried about my english skills on the CLAD exam. There are some words that are quite hard to translate into Norwegian, without a glossary.

I know what you meant - a few years ago when I just came to the States - I had lot of trouble understanding the questions.
When it comes to program, I am a "doing" person, I can write a relative complex programs but do not know about terminologies.

As for that, I would like to add a question to this thread:
Am I able to recive any help on the exam if there are some words I don't understand? Like getting them translated for me or something?
I'm familiar with most of LabVIEW's terminology, but not all the other complex words used in the example exams.
Like this for an example:
The words I've marked is not trivial to me, and I'd might fail this type of question on the CLAD exam

I do not think the person who monitors the testing process will be allowed to so. It is our disadvantage when it comes to English tests but do not feel bad, lot of words even native English speakers do not know too (like the ones in GRE)

Hi!
For people reading this topic: I found the questions to the be really close to the questions in the example exams. After studying those two I took the CLAD and I passed So a useful tip is the study the materials that NI has publised, and you'll be ready for the exam.
