Build executable error 200220 on Mac OS

I'm a beginner at labview and am hoping that someone with more experience would be able to spot this simple error I'm probably overlooking.  I'm trying to build an executable application on labview 8.6 for mac OS.  I created the project and created the application with my selected VI.  Everything in the build process went smoothly however when I try to run the application I get the "200220" error stating my device identifier is invalid however I made sure of the device name on LSDAQ and the channel I'm sampling is correct.  The other computer without labview that I am trying to run the application on does have the latest run time engine installed and the USB DAQ 6009 plugged in.  Thanks

What DAQ drivers are you using? DAQmx Base I assume. Is the developement computer Mac OS as well?

In your program do you reference any tasks that you created on a different computer? If so you will need to transfer those tasks or channels to the new computer as well. There is an option within the applications builder to include hardware setting that should include the DAQmx tasks.

Hey Mark,

Yes  both computers are  identical macbook pros.  The computer without the  labview program installed I have installed DAQmxbase 3.2 .  I  don't believe I am referencing any tasks.  Do you mind telling me under which tab of the application builder I can find the hardware settings function  I  haven't been able to find it.  Thanks a lot for your reply

Hi Jerry,

I'm sorry. I meant there is an option for that in the installer as an additional installer. There is a Hardware Configuration section that will copy all of your settings.

Hey Mark

I transferred all my code to a PC version of labview and compiled the exe file.  On my target computer I installed MAX and created a global virtual channel and installed the DAQmx drivers yet I still get the same error.  There must be something that I'm omitting in the build to cause this to not run.  I've followed the instructions step by step in the knowledgebase on how to build an executable.  Any insights?  Thanks a lot

Hi Jerry,

Are both your target and development computers PCs now? On your target computer what version of the DAQmx driver do you have installed and what does your device show up as in MAX?

Hey Ipshita,

Yes both target and development computers are PC.  I'm using the latest version of the DAQmx driver that was available on the NI website.  The device shows up as USB 6009 "Dev1" and Dev1/ai0 is the name that I am using in the I/O field of the create channel.  I greatly appreciate your help.

Hi jerryjni,

This error is for the device identifier. So I would advice checking your entire code to see if you have referenced the right device in each of your tasks. Dev1/ai0 merely denotes the channel for that device so you should be fine. Where have you created your tasks--in LabView or in Measurement and Automation Explorer?
